Begin Your Day With God

“Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days”  (Psalm 90 v 14).

Sometimes as individuals, we think everything rests on our shoulders, but it doesn’t. It is God’s world, not ours. The way we get up in the morning sets the tone for our entire day. Remind yourself at the beginning of each day that Almighty God is in control of every situation and circumstance facing us. Secondly, God cares about every detail of our lives and that He has the answer.

Get alone with God. If you have some concerns hand them over to Him. Ask God for wisdom , increasing your faith and grace to endure and trust Him, in every situation. It is so easy to start the day anxious, hurried, fearful or rushed. But we don’t have to.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength”       (Deuteronomy 6 v 5).

Do not lose your passion for God. Do not allow work and family pressures to cause you to forget that your first commitment must always be to God. When you become passionate about God’s purposes, you are unstoppable. Indeed, the very desire that is burning within you, is the fuel that enables you to withstand challenges and setbacks.

“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God” (2 Corinthians 3 v 5).

When God makes you a promise or gives you a vision, He always keeps it, but you have to be willing to remove the training wheels of your reliance on people. God sometimes takes away an old source or system and gives you a new one, it does not necessarily mean the old one wasn’t any good. It just means He’s chosen a new way of guiding and providing. When He pushes you out of your comfort zone en route to your destiny, expect to go through some unfamiliar, anxiety-producing territory.
