Titus

This epistle was written by Apostle Paul advising Titus in his responsibility of supervising the churches on the island of Crete.

Titus was a Greek believer. Taught and matured by Paul, he stood before the leaders of the church in Jerusalem as a living example of what Jesus Christ was doing amongst the Gentiles. He was one of Paul’s trusted travelling companions and closest friends. He went on to become Paul’s special ambassador and eventually the overseer of the churches on Crete.

Paul tells Titus how to organise and lead the churches, emphasizing the importance of good works in the life of Christians.  Paul guides Titus in his relationship to various age groups in the church, urging Titus to be a good example of a mature believer and to teach with courage and conviction.

As you read this book, believers will gain an insight into the organisation and life of the early church and principles for structuring contemporary churches.
